A Weekend In Pictures.

After a very lovely birthday week where I celebrated my 20th birthday with family and my boyfriend, I've spent the weekend relaxing a little before heading back to work after such a great week off.
The whole weekend has been revolving around playing the PlayStation and also watching Netflix. It's gone way too fast! Also after not going out drinking or touching alcohol for months, I had a family party on Friday night, where I got to introduce my boyfriend to my family.. Exciting! But it soon dawned on me I can no longer stay up as late as I used to when clubbing and was tucked up in bed before midnight!

Hope you all had a fab weekend!

Zoella Beauty.

For as long as I can remember I've wanted the Zoella beauty range, basically ever since it first got announced I've wanted it.
I'm not lucky enough to have a fair selection to choose from thanks to my lovely boyfriend for getting me quite a fair bit for my birthday, which I am very very grateful for.
I have a variety of both of the two scents which she has to offer and I like them both equally as they're both such lovely scents which are my favourites when it comes to body lotion etc.
I love the body mist as it's got quite a strong smell but not too strong to make it over powering like a perfume. My other favourite is also the body lotions, I have them in both scents and they smell good enough to eat!
I plan to have a nice relaxing bath and enjoy myself with my bath bombs and bath soak and catch up on any of the Zoella blog posts that I've missed!
Can you tell that I like Zoella?

Limitless.

The world is your oyster, so they say, right? But is it? Of course. I'm a strong believer of everything happens for a reason and I believe that what is meant to be, will find its way in the end.

You have the power and the fight in you to change your whole life, so why not? It should all be about making yourself happy and doing what is right by you and your happiness.

It's important to just take time out and reflect on your own life. You must enable yourself to look back and also look forward to se what it is you want next in life and how you can achieve it.

Kate Moss - Lasting Finish Lipstick

What girl doesn't love a good lipstick, am I right? I'll hold my hands up and admit that I'm getting a little, well obsessed and my collection is rapidly increasing (cheeky monkey emoji). Although I may have a few too many lipsticks, I tend to always go for the Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish as they're budget friendly and just a brilliant lipstick.

They are by far my favourite lipsticks with so many amazing shades to choose from and only £5.49 who wouldn't want to make this addition to their lipstick family? They are such an amazing product, super moisturising and glide straight onto the lips, they give a superb colour payoff and have s good staying power.

Their packaging is pretty basic and simple, but I quite like the simplicity, the standard packaging is black with Kate written on the lid. Other shades mah have a nude casing and others a red. I find them to be such a gorgeous lipstick.

I have my own little collection which is growing without fail, with such lovely colours and shades it's hard to resist when they catch my eye... They have good staying power but probably not as durable as the MAC lipsticks, but I am still yet to try them out... I know, shame on me!

Following Your Dreams.

I've been thinking a lot recently, and it just occurred to me that not many people seem to follow their dreams or feel like it's something they should be doing, which to me, seems to be very odd?
Maybe that's just because I've always set out to do what makes me happy and follow my dreams. Do more of what makes you happy, starting with these three little things:

Your home.
Your home is your own space, somewhere to feel safe, secure and cosy. Make your home into something you've always dreamed of, make it as cosy as possible. Think of it as your 'happy place' surround yourself with positive things, art, flowers, colour etc, this will help boost your mood and make you feel a lot happier and positive being at home.

Your job.
I see this as a major factor, your job should make you happy. You shouldn't wake up every day and dread going into work, I know after a day off or a weekend off, or even after annual leave, it's not the nicest of thoughts knowing you have work the following day, but enjoying your job makes it so much more enjoyable and not just like it's an endless chore. Personally for me, I've always wanted to be in a job that I enjoy, and luckily enough I have a job which is something that makes me happy and even though it can be challenging and sometimes test my patience, it's rewarding and it's one of the things I love most.

Friends and family.
You should always surround yourself with friends and family, ones which bring you positivity and happiness, that is. Friends and family are people who will help you through all the good and bad times and will forever be there for you. You should always ensure that you provide time to spend with them, I understand myself that with work and other things it's hard to make enough time to see each other often, but no matter how much time you spend apart when you see each other again it'll be like you've never been apart.

To me, these are the three main things in life which you should always try to improve and ensure you're following your dreams with them, whether it's having a big house in the city with lots of friends and family around, or a small cottage in the countryside with selective family and friends. It's your life and your choice, make yourself happy.

Christmas Tag.

This tag is a little late because I've had all sorts going on, but I gathered, better late then never!

What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?

Home Alone is of course one of my favourites, it’s a complete classic and one of the films I can say I do actually watch every year without fail. The others consist of, Love Actually, The Holiday, The Grinch, and The Polar Express as it’s always on the TV!
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Always on Christmas morning, usually at the crack of dawn.
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I can’t really think of a ‘favourite’, but I do remember one Christmas opening up my barbie’s when I was younger and getting so excited asking my dad to put the horse and carriage together for me.
Favourite festive food?
Chocolate mints are a must at Christmas for me and Match Sticks! (Preferably the orange, as orange chocolate is my ultimate favourite!)
Favourite Christmas gift?
For many, many years when I was growing up I always dreamed of having baby dolls, barbie’s, polly pocket, you know all the usual girly stuff, my dreams always came true at Christmas, not once did I ask for them, my parents just knew which presents would keep me quiet for hours!
Favourite Christmas scent?
Peppermint, it just reminds me of candy canes, we always had them decorated around the tree when I was growing up, reminds me of my childhood. We no longer can have them around the tree as my dogs would probably eat them…
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Not really, it’s more of just a family time for us, always wear our new Christmas pj’s though.
What tops your tree?
We’ve changed it over the years so much, from freaky looking angels, to stars.. Both last year and this year, we have a silver star.
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I didn’t really ask for anything crazy, I’d just get the standard presents of toys, clothes and selection boxes and was pretty happy with them.
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Of course giving and receiving presents is a great part, but honestly I just enjoy the family being together in a happy, cherry environment.

Motivation, Self-confidence and Feeling Low.

Everybody goes through tough times and feeling low, it just takes a little bit of positivity and the right mindset to get through it. It can be hard when you do not feel in control of your life and it can cause you to become distracted by other things happening around you, before you know it, it all just becomes too overwhelming. So here is a list of some pointers just to help you get on the right track, and is also what I use to help myself maintain or get back into a positive mindset.

Nobody is perfect.
No matter what anyone looks like from the outside, everyone has their own issues, whether or not if they show it. Everybody always has down time in their life.

It's okay to admit how you feel.
This is often the first step to getting back into a positive mindset, and admitting how you feel and talking about it will make it a lot easier for you, find someone who you can trust to talk too.

Don't compare yourself to others.
Everyone has their own quirks and abilities, and I know myself how hard it is to not focus on the bad things and to look at others and begin to compare yourself to them. You will never be that person, look at yourself and how you can better yourself. Be the better version of yourself.

Take a step back.
This is important. Set a side a day in the week to reflect and look back on your week, this helps to reset your motivation and see how far you have come.

Get organised.
Things such as writing lists or writing diaries can make you feel more in control of your life as you know what you need to do and when for causing less stress in the long run as you slowly become more motivated.

Train yourself to think positively.
Positive thinking is something that either comes naturally or does not, depending on your personality, but you should always step back and try to see the positive outcome in everything as it helps you drastically and you see that things are not all that bad at all.

Surround yourself with positive people.
You shouldn't be around people who bring you down as it will never be a good thing, surround yourself with people who make you feel happy and positive and bring out the best in you.

Make a routine for yourself.
If you do similar things each day you feel more organised and it provides more motivation for you as you'll get into a habit of doing things and your life isn't like a yo-yo. No matter where you are or what you're doing try to add some kind of morning or nighttime routine into your day to try and ground yourself.

This is just my view and from my personal experience, this has helped me and I hope it will help others too!

Fresh Start.

I thought as so much has changed the past year that I'd make a whole new blog and resorted to blogspot.com instead of starting my old blog back up.

Fresh start, new blog...

It's been a long time since I blogged, so bare with me whilst I get used to it again! Trying to write my thoughts and feelings down can sometimes be challenging for me and I get my words all muddled up so just bare with me!

I do plan to write more blog posts and stay up to date with it last time as work and my course just got in the way before and I didn't have much time to do much, let alone trying to blog, but as I said in the beginning, this is all about fresh starts.

Here we go...
